| The Nativity Story |
 |
|
I can't
think of a better way to see and hear a wonderful
Christmas message than to go to the movies and
watch "The Nativity Story". We were fortunate to
receive some passes for a sneak preview and got to
see this movie before it is released. It will be coming
to theaters in December, you don't want to miss this
one!
New Line Cinema's "The Nativity Story" is a dramatic
film that traces the perilous journey of a young
couple who must travel from their home in Nazareth
to Bethlehem in order to register for a census ordered
by King Herod. The trip is over 100 miles and Mary is
nine months pregnant at the time, making it a
perilous journey!
The movie is very well done and really gives you a
good look at the hard times Mary and Joseph lived in.
You can read the Nativity Story in the gospels of
Matthew and Luke but seeing it on the big screen is
an event that brings the biblical story to life!
Here is the link to the official website for the movie.
You can view a trailer there.

7 Ways You Can Look Younger Without The Need
For
Botox Or Surgery
by: Janice Wee
So many beautiful people seem to be searching for
eternal youth. The ability to look unaffected by the
passage of time. Wrinkle free faces at 50. The body
of a 60 year old that looks like that of a svelte
twenty year old. You see that quite often in
Hollywood.
First, there was plastic surgery Now there is botox.
Where a toxin is injected into your face to paralyze
your facial muscles, to erase the lines on your face.
Scary isn't it? Then again, if you were gorgeous in
your youth, if your face were your fortune, wouldn't
you do everything possible to preserve your youthful
appearance for as long as possible.
Time is relentless. You get older every year. Your
face and your body will age. But you can age
beautifully. If you keep fit, exercise and watch your
diet, your body can still be svelte late in life. It would
get harder with time, but with enough discipline and
effort, you can still keep your figure.
It is harder when it comes to your skin. Sure, there is
botox and plastic surgery. An alternative you can
turn to when nothing else works. Until then, there are
less invasive, needle free means to erase wrinkles, or
at very least to appear younger than you really are.

I hope everyone enjoyed a great Thanksgiving. We
did the usual turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies, and
of course pumpkin pie! I ate too much then took a
long nap! We spent Thanksgiving at my sister-in-
law's house and all the girls slept over so they could
be at the malls by 5:00 am! As I write this I still
haven't heard from my wife and it is now 3:00 pm on
Friday...I hope she hasn't spent all of our money! She
has been Christmas shopping now for 10
hours...AAARRRGGGHHH! This is the
weekend we
go to a tree farm and pick up our Christmas Tree.
That is usually an interesting adventure because my
wife loves big Christmas Trees and always picks out
one that is like 9-10 feet tall and we only have an 8
foot ceiling! However, after much cursing at tangled
lights and bickering about where each ornament
should go, the tree always ends up looking beautiful!
Christine and I wish you and yours a very MERRY
CHRISTMAS!
You may have figured out that we are Christians and
celebrate Christmas as the birth of Christ. I write
about this because this is what I believe in. I do not
know anything about other religious or secular
holidays for this time of the year, if any of you would
like equal time then send me an article and I will put
it in the next newsletter.
Call for Submissions
If you would like to write a regular column in this
newsletter, please contact me. I sure could use some
help. Of course, there is no pay offered but it's a
great opportunity to see your writing in print and
share with the rest of your classmates!
I'm still looking for articles about how Danbury has
changed over the years. I know there are some great
writers in our class; how about sending me some
articles for our newsletter?
