Our website is now 3 1/2 years old!

Thanks to everyone who helped me by scanning pictures, gathering information and making donations to support our website.

Recently, the Missing Classmates page has been updated, so take a look and see if you know where some of these folks are.

We only have 10 bios on our Bio Page, come on guys...don't be shy email me your bio. Let us know what you have been up to since graduation.

I hate to mention this, but it's a fact of life. There are 20 classmates listed on our In Memory page. Please send me info if you know of someone who has passed away.

    Drive-In Memories

I did this in the Class of 1966 Newsletter and thought you might find it interesting also.

I'll bet everyone has at least one story about the Danbury Drive In! How about sharing your drive-in story with us?

I'll start the ball rolling. I have lots of memories about the drive-in from early childhood right up through my teenage years in high school.

Here's a story from my childhood days. We used to always go in the family station wagon dressed in our pajamas and equipped with blankets and pillows.

We would get there early so we could play on the playground in front of the big screen before the cartoons started. My two sisters and I usually ended up falling asleep in the back of the station wagon before the main feature had ended.

On this one occasion I remember as we were leaving the drive-in, there was a terrible noise as we pulled out of parking spot. It seems that my dad had forgotten to take the speaker out of his window as he drove away and it was still attached as we drove down the road!

It's a shame that our grandkids don't even know what a drive-in movie theater is...what a wonderful experience they are missing out on!

Please share your drive-in memories with us. Click on link below to send an email with your drive-in story.

    DHS 40th Reunion Update

    Dear Classmate

I would like to welcome all the classmates who have added or corrected their email addresses to our list. Adding to that the 90 mailing addresses that Maryann and Al Silvestri helped to provide, we are now in contact with over 50% of our former classmates. We still have a way to go. So please review the attached listing of still missing classmates. Should you be in contact with them, or know how to reach them, please let them know to contact either Mike Marinaro mmarinaro@nc.rr.com or me, in order to keep them updated on the class reunion.

As I have mentioned in previous emails, for the reunion, we are planning a social event for the Friday night before (September 28th) being coordinated by Joe Pannozzo jpannoz@aol.com. Anyone who wishes to assist Joe in that event, please contact him directly.

Joe Scalzo will be in charge of the Saturday night (September 29) event at Capellaro's Grove. Joe is going to need some help and support in making this a successful event. Any volunteers should contact Joe directly at either joes@jmw.com or joes1963@gmail.com

Jeff O'Hora jeff@jeffohora.com has volunteered to put together a Sunday (September 30,) event (picnic of some sort).

Dominic Palumbo has agreed to co ordinate the cash in take and expenditures (at least for the Saturday night affair). We will be working out those details as we get closer to the event.

Some of you may have been reading that Capellaro's Grove is about to change ownership. I've been in contact with them, and they are just selling the land. We are still booked for September 29th, so the show will go on.

As we get closer and closer to the reunion, the excitement is starting to build; I truly look forward to seeing you all there.

    Kind Regards

    Michael Zarour
