In the last issue I metioned Winky Dink was one of
my favorite TV shows back in the day. Well there
was quite a response to that! For those of you
who are just dying to find out the answer to the
trivia question, here it is. Winky Dink's dog was
named Woofer.
Here are some of the responses I received about your
favorite TV shows.
Paula (Prange) Marron said, " rin tin tin . pinky lee
and me ,with princess summer fall winter spring, were
some of my favorites."
Shiela (Bartram) Hislop responded,"Some of my
favorite TV shows were Rin Tin Tin, Gene Autry,
Howdy Doody, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Andy's
Gang, My Friend Flicka, Fury, Seargent King of the
Yukon and Sky King."
Starr (Murphy) Herscovitch said some of her favorite
TV shows were:
- Hopalong Cassidy
- Sky King
- Rin Tin Tin
- Gene Autry
- Roy Rogers
- The Cisco Kid
- Circus Boy
- Andy Devine
- Ding Dong School
- Kookla Fran and Ollie
- Rootie Kazootie
- Howdy Doody
- Fury
- My Little Margie
- I Married Joan
- The People Choice
- Leave it to Beaver
- Father Knows Best
- Ozzie & Harriet
- Gunsmoke
- Have Gun Will Travel
- Bat Masterson
- Maverick
- Wyatt Earp
- The Rifleman
- Wanted, Dead or Alive
- The Untouchables
- The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
- Honey West
I'm guessing that Starr spent a lot of time watching
TV...what do you think?
Thanks for the responses. It's nice to get feedback
from the newsletters and website. Your comments
are always welcome.

Class of 1966 Reunion
I heard all kinds of great reports from the Class of
1966 about their reunion...we will have to pick their
brains when we start planning ours.
You can visit their website www.dhs1966.org and read the comments on message board or check
out some of the photos that were sent in.
I know some of our class members also
attended; please email me and let me know how you
liked the reunion.
Call for Submissions
If you would like to write a regular column in this
newsletter, please contact me. I sure could use some
help. Of course, there is no pay offered but it's a
great opportunity to see your writing in print and
share with the rest of your classmates!
I'm still looking for articles about how Danbury has
changed over the years. I know there are some great
writers in our class; how about sending me some
articles for our newsletter?
Visit to Connecticut
The last couple of times I visited Connecticut it was
for funerals; however, this time I am coming back
home for a joyous occasion! I will be in Bethel from
Oct. 19-23 for a wedding.
If anyone wants to meet for lunch to talk about
reunion plans, website, newsletter or whatever; give
me a call on my cell phone, and I will see if I can
squeeze you in to my schedule! 919-744-0312.
