Celia (Tickie Schulsinger) Bechtel

Right after college, I taught in TX for a year but warmth, sunshine and cactus in Dec. was so unnatural to me that I moved back to NE when my contract was up. I then got my Master's degree in Education ( well mostly), and met a friend in Ft. Lauderdale who convinced me to go to Cape Cod for the summer instead of taking the last 3 credits to complete my degree... I had the best summer of my life, accidentally fell in love, and have been happily married ever since - 32 years in July. (and, yes, I finally took that 3 credit course and finished my Master's)
We have lived in Foxboro, MA (-for you football fans - home of the Patriots - Super bowl Champs 3 times -) for 25 years. We have 2 daughters and a son who have grown into wonderful adults - my oldest daughter, Robyn - 28, is a licensed social worker- adjustment counselor married to Pete; my middle daughter, Dena - 25, formerly a biologist, is a dolphin trainer in Bermuda (how lucky am I??), and my son, David - 22, works at MOMs (Motorcycles of Manchester) and does sales and maintenance. I just found out I am going to be a grandmother! Life is good!
I took a long maternity leave to raise my 3 children - substitute taught in the schools - 120 of the 180 days while they were young - I went back to recruiting full time when my oldest starting looking at colleges!
 I am an executive recruiter in the toy industry - I love what I do! I go to Toy Fair in NYC twice a year and get to visit my best friends from high school! (again, I know how lucky I am!) I started my own business 8 years ago and have been known to do business on the back of my husband's Harley! We like to ride through the Berkshires in October during the peak of foliage. That is one of our favorite vacations! Bermuda is another favorite! Cape Cod is also a place that is fun to explore on the motorcycle.
We look forward to going to the 40th reunion.
